Founded in 1952 by Andrew Johnson and his sons, Eric and Allan, Tapmatic has a legacy of innovation. Allan, a self-taught engineer with over 50 patents designed the original Tapmatic reversing tapping attachment and a wide range of other products. After Eric and Andrew passed in 1968, Allan expanded our brand globally. Despite retiring in 1993, his spirit of innovation ensures we are proud American exporters, with half our sales overseas. We thank our customers for their continued support over the past 70 years.
