The DeBurr-Z floats in both compression and extension allowing the cutting tool to follow top edges or underside edges of the work piece even when they are not easily defined and difficult to program like in the case of castings.
The force can be adjusted to increase or decrease the cutting pressure depending on the hardness of the material and the size of the edge break needed. By turning the knurled sleeve toward the higher reference numbers, both the compression and extension force are increased by an equal amount.
