And
We've Turned Them Into Better Tools For You.
Tapmatic has specialized in
the development and production of tap drivers
and self-reversing tapping attachments from its
outset in 1952. 48 years of experience and close
cooperation with our customers resulted in the Constant
Speed Tapping system. The Fastest Way
To Tap On Any Machine.
Our new RDT self-reversing tapping
heads represent 5 years of real world experience
in high production tapping with the highest speeds,
the toughest materials- exotics, stainless, high
silicon aluminum, deep blind holes with small roll
form taps, adverse coolant conditions, etc.
These new units produce faster
cycle times, prevent external coolant entry, eliminate
rust and corrosion problems, feature new planetary
gears for simple programming- (100% feed rate in
and out) and new balanced internal coolant system
for maximum flow without seals. And, of course,
CST for maximum tap life.
Today, the only alternative to
Constant Speed Tapping is synchronous feed tapping,
a system designed around machine reversal, which
requires the machine to reduce RPM as the synchronized
feed rate is slowing down near the end of the stroke.
Every machinist knows reducing RPM in the middle
of a cut is bad for tool life.
Synchronous feed also takes much
more time especially since it requires 2 machine
reversals for each tapped hole. Televised tests
prove that Tapmatic's CST system taps twice as
fast as the new full sized machining centers using
synchronous feed at the same RPM. Ask for your

You'll see that synchronous feed programming does
not deliver the RPM it promises on the screen.
Only CST does and...
